In cooperation with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) successfully carried out two operations in Gojra City as part of its ongoing efforts to eradicate the rife growth of illegal internet services.
The Adeeb Plaza Main Bansan Wala Bazar and Mehdi Shah Bazar were the locations of the searches on unlicensed internet service providers. In addition to one person being detained, illicit ISP hardware was also seized.
The PTA’s ongoing oversight, dedication, and tireless efforts to address the threat of unlawful internet services made it feasible to conduct effective raids against illegal ISPs while minimizing losses to the national exchequer brought on by tax fraud and false revenue reporting.
The general public is once more advised to only use telecom services from PTA-licensed providers to prevent unexpected service interruptions. Here is a list of authorized operators.
