Former Air Chief Marshal Robbed at Gunpoint in Islamabad

In Islamabad’s F-11/1 area, when strolling with two of his security guards, past Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt got assaulted by armed robbers.
Security officers Kamran and Baber prevented the robbers from stealing the past Air Chief of his money, jewels, and cell phone. However, before leaving the spot, the robbers killed both of them, leaving them injured.

In response to the call, police came at the spot immediately and took injured security guards to a local hospital from where they got medical care.
In line with accounts, a third individual was also removed from the site; still it is yet unclear who he is and what part he took in the tragic event.

Increasing Number of Crimes in Islamabad
Unbelievably 1,151 theft situations worth at least Rs. 221 million in stolen money and other valuables have been documented in the capital city in July.
Based on research, the local police recorded 275 robberies, 156 purse snatching, 104 burglaries, 207 thefts, 55 vehicle thefts, and 354 auto thefts.

59 cars, 432 motorcycles, 599 cell phones, 36 laptops, and gold jewelers worth a total of 340.5 tolas were among the other stolen items.
The illegal activity produced numerous life-threatening cases, including two robberies where the robbers murdered two individuals, amongst them a police policeman. Furthermore, 10 other robberies-related incidents led to the injuries of 11 individuals.
