YouTube’s new guidelines now permit any channel with 500 subscribers and 3,000 view hours to
monetize their channel and begin making money right immediately.
Every content producer has monetizing a YouTube channel on their bucket list since it allows them to get
paid for their efforts. We have some exciting news for you if you are a content creator who wants to
monetize your channel.
The new YouTube monetization rules allow anyone with 500 subscribers, three publicly available videos
within 90 days, and 3,000 hours of views to enable their monetization and begin making money right
away.
YouTube producers can advertise their products via YouTube Shopping, an e-commerce platform
designed to enable creators to have their own storefronts on the site, in addition to obtaining a simpler
road to monetization. The only difference is that they would need to have more than 3 million views over a
90-day period for creators who wish to monetize their YouTube shorts to use this approach.
It was obviously much more difficult for smaller producers to meet the requirements of the previous
policy, which required creators to have over 1000 subscribers, 4000 hours of watch time, or over 10
million views in a 90-day period for shorts.
YouTube will eventually extend these criteria to additional nations; at the moment, they only apply to the
United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Taiwan, and South Korea.
