The Hashoo Group hired Mohammad Ali Ibrahim as vice president of marketing and communications. Ali will be responsible to Murtaza Hashwani, Deputy Chairman and CEO of the Hashoo Group, in the new role.
The Hashoo Group, an outstanding company in Pakistan with a variety of companies including domestic as well as global markets, was formed in 1960 by Mr. Sadruddin Hashwani. The Group involves business interests in the fields of information technology, expenditures, mining, goods trading, tourism and travel, and real estate industries along with owning and running the Pearl-Continental Hotels & Resorts, PC Legacy, and Hotel One businesses.
In regard to advertising, project management, communications, and sustainability, Ali has an additional 17 years of knowledge. Ali formerly held the position of Head of Marketing & Communications at Mobilink Bank, the largest digital microfinance company in Pakistan with over forty million mobile money wallets. Mobilink, as a bank is an aspect of the VEON Group, a multinational digital operator providing online services together with connectivity in seven different nations.

Ali developed and ran the company’s marketing, corporate communication, and environmentally friendly strategies whereas he was working by Mobilink Bank with the goal to increase the company’s brand and visibility, expand its customer base, and harden its position as the market leader in the areas of digital banking, SMEs, women empowerment, and environmental sustainability in the whole country. In addition to leadership in thought, digital financial services, and involvement of stakeholders, he offered top management with guidance.
Before this, Ali worked at Jazz, Pakistan’s top mobile operator and a sister company of Mobilink Bank, where his position was the Stream Head Digital Communications – Internal & External. Thereby, he assisted in developing corporate communications into an essential business function. In his new position, Ali will be in charge of the marketing and communications department of the Hashoo Group, which is tasked with increasing brand recognition, promoting sustainability initiatives, and increasing the market positions of the company’s numerous business verticals.
Ali has a master’s degree in management sciences from Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), and he has had work experience abroad in Europe, the Netherlands, and South Africa, expanding his skills and point of view
